**Duties and responsibilities**
- Coordinate, implement and contribute to emergency measures training plans and programs;
- Assist in maintaining and complying with emergency and prevention plans and procedures on site;
- Develop, maintain and monitor site-wide emergency response plans;
- Provide ongoing training in its field of expertise and organize training sessions;
- Lead and participate in emergency measures meetings with managers, workers and various internal and external committees;
- Establish a rigorous maintenance schedule for equipment used for emergency measures, and inspect this equipment on a regular basis;
- Transfer information to the team;
- Support supervisors and managers in their activities to foster a loss prevention culture;
- Suggest emergency measures activities to raise awareness and inform employees;
- Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property comply with emergency response policies and requirements;
- Report any situation that could affect the occupational health and safety of staff and the physical integrity of facilities, making suggestions for improvement to prevent any event or disaster and reduce the risk to business continuity;
- Act as a strategic advisor when setting up a crisis unit and lead teams in the field;
- Manage administrative aspects related to brigades (recruitment, schedules, bonuses, supplier links, convocations, etc.);
- Always comply with health and safety and environmental policies and rules, and ensure that all personnel under his or her supervision comply with these rules;
- Contribute to the development of the budget for his/her sector and monitor it;
- Maintain filing systems for information concerning emergency response training;
- Assume certain duties or responsibilities of the industrial safety coordinator during his absence;
- Always comply with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and rules, and ensure that staff comply with these rules;
- Perform any other tasks related to the Emergency Measures Coordinator position that are relevant to the success of the project.

**Qualifications required**
- Professional diploma for firefighters, along with Officer I and Firefighter I certified instructor qualifications OR Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 diplomas combined with the following qualifications: pumper, extrication, Officer 1 and certified Firefighter 1 instructor;
- (5) to (10) years' experience in emergency measures;
- Bilingualism (French s and English), (an asset). French is the first language at work;
- Own the mining modules (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7);
- A valid Class 4A driver's license;
- Hold an explosives permit.

**Technical skills**
- Recognized professional training as a firefighter;
- In-depth knowledge of applicable fire safety legislation (NFPA, NFC, hazardous materials, etc.);
- The ability to deliver specialized training (e.g., height rescue, confined space rescue, extrication, etc.) is an important asset.

**Basic skills**
- Teamwork through collaboration, information sharing and efficient communication;
- Good organizational, planning and priority management skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, under pressure at events and with a strong sense of responsibility;
- Ability to work in remote locations.
