Our company is seeking to hire a Samples Coordinator-Marketing *contract* who is responsible for owning and managing the Samples process across the Marketing department teams (Creative Production, Public Relations, Visual Merchandising and Social). In managing the Samples process you manage the identification of samples needs, the ordering and tracking process, and ensure there is appropriate process to track samples through the creative development and gifting processes. You are super organized with a high attention to detail and an advocate for fiscal responsibility and accountability additionally you can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.
The Samples Coordinator-Marketing *contract* for Roots will be responsible for the following:
- Establish and own the Samples process within the Marketing and eCommerce departments
- After each official Seasonal Review presentation, work with stakeholder teams to identify sample product needs (eCommerce, Creative Production, Public Relations, Visual Merchandising, and Partnerships)
- Place sample orders with both owned (Leather Factory) and offshore partners as part of the TOP sample order process
- Manage PO’s and validate accuracy of orders once received; follow-up with suppliers as required to manage any order errors
- Maintain tracking of all samples through the various Creative Production studios, and through all users within the office or with external partners
- Own the sample “re-entry” program, ensuring products are appropriately allocated to the Distribution Centre, or for destroy, or for inclusion in the Seasonal Sample Sale process
- Work with the Product Department Coordinator to manage the Seasonal Sample Sale
- Have an attitude of continuous improvement and productivity to maximize use of samples, as well as minimize impact to the budget
- 1-2 years professional experience in an office environment and/or retail apparel environment
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Experience with a PLM (product lifecycle management) system considered a plus
- Must be extremely organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage needs of multiple stakeholders
- Resourceful with an ability to problem solve independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a drive to get things done
