**Warehouse & Customer Service Associate**

Floor Country Canada is a retail flooring store that offers professional hardwood refinishers a wide selection of refinishing products including stains, oil and water-based finishes, sanding paper, wood filler and more.

**Summary**:
The Warehouse & Customer Service Associate has a key role in interacting with and serving professional refinishers on a daily basis as well as ensuring that products are received, verified, stored in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. Associate is also responsible for keeping the warehouse & retail store neat, tidy, and well maintained. This position includes lifting and carrying of the products.

**Main Responsibilities and Tasks**:

- Interacts with professional hardwood refinishers on a daily basis, answers questions about the product and creates Sales orders and Invoices for products sold. Receives payments.
- Advises the refinishers on products available and promotes new products
- Maintain a high level of customer service & deal with any customer issues
- Receives and stocks product from manufacturers
- Ensures accurate quantities of product were received, and compares appropriate paperwork matching product numbers; questions and resolves discrepancies as required
- Enters data product information into the warehouse database for inventory tracking to assure accuracy
- Identifies product shortages/damages from delivery upon receipt of product and processes damaged and returned claims.
- Handles dangerous goods and hazardous products according to established procedures.
- Identifies product shortages in the warehouse and re-orders product from manufacturers.
- Inventory cycle counts
- General warehouse & store duties - cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, garbage, recycling, dusting, snow clearing.
- Load/unload customers with products
- Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum twelve (12) months related experience in a warehouse environment & customer service
- Excellent computer skills/Microsoft Office skills.
- Good math skills
- Results-oriented individual.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to complete detail-oriented retail tasks according to instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes.
- Ability to work in a team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals.
- Ability to resolve retail and/or customer issues
- Able to work as part of a team or independently with mínimal or no supervision
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and solid work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge about hardwood refinishing products and flooring an asset

**Physical Demands / Working Conditions**
- Work involves moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee may lift, lower, carry product up to a maximum of 70 pounds by hand.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
