**Job Description**:
The Texture Artist creates textures on various objects or surfaces, ensuring to meet the high quality standards of Rodeo FX.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Create textures from scratch and/or from sampled photos, scanned references or any artwork necessary to create new objects or to match the surfaces of existing live action footage ;
- Work closely with the CG and Asset Supervisors to find creative and technical solutions and approaches that meet project requirements and deadlines;
- May participate in the development of tools and techniques for the department;
- Keep Production and the project team informed of the status of work, issues to be resolved, ramifications of problems encountered and recommend potential solutions;
- Ensure deadlines are met, advising the project team promptly if delays could be expected.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a similar position, within the VFX industry;
- Knowledge of Maya, Mari, Substance Painter and Designer;
- Basic knowledge of Katana, Nuke and the shading process using Arnold;
- Knowledge of colour management;
- Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines.
