What is I-CARE?
I-CARE Adult Literacy is a free program of Douglas College based in New Westminster. We've been serving our community for over 40 years. I-CARE trains volunteers to tutor English-speaking adult learners who want to improve their basic reading and writing.
This is an interesting and challenging volunteer role which can bring many rewards. When an adult increases literacy skills, confidence and independence blossom.
Volunteers learn about the field of literacy from experienced College instructors and are introduced to a variety of techniques, materials and approaches. Books and materials are free.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 2 per week
**Salary**: $15.65-$35.19 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
