**Position Summary**

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of brewery operations, including taproom and kitchen management, staff leadership, sales and distribution coordination, financial performance, customer experience, and compliance. The GM ensures that Prairie Sun Brewery runs efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with its mission and values.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Leadership & Team Management**
- Lead and manage front-of-house, and assist with back-of-house, and brewery production teams
- Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff to maintain high performance and morale
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment

**Operational Oversight**
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, and brewery production
- Ensure smooth service, inventory control, and product quality across all departments
- Maintain compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations

**Financial Management**
- Develop and manage budgets, track KPIs, and ensure financial targets are met
- Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, and cost control measures
- Monitor payroll, scheduling, and labor costs for efficiency

**Sales & Marketing Support**
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams on events, promotions, and brand initiatives
- Support distribution and retail relationships to increase market presence

**Customer Experience**
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and service
- Handle customer feedback, resolve issues, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Promote community engagement through events, partnerships, and outreach

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in the hospitality, craft beer, or food & beverage industry
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory software, and general office tools
- Experience with budgeting, P&L management, and strategic planning
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for craft beer and community-driven business
