As Team Lead, you will oversee daily production operations, ensure printer maintenance and strict adherence to safety protocols, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality, while contributing to the business's long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide, and support a team of production staff, ensuring proper training,task delegation, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company and industry-specific safety regulations, including conducting regular safety audits, training staff on proper safety procedures, and addressing any hazards immediately.
- Production Oversight: Coordinate daily production schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor workflow to ensure output and quality targets are met.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Ensure adherence to GMP, including proper handling of materials, cleanliness of work areas, and maintaining accurate production records.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and collaborate with management to implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the team to ensure all products meet company and industry standards prior to shipment.
- Graphic Design Support: Utilize graphic design software like CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator to make minor adjustments to designs, prepare files for production, or assist in design-related tasks as needed.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, downtime, and safety incidents.
- Problem Solving: Quickly address operational issues that arise, working cross-functionally to resolve production bottlenecks and equipment malfunctions.
- Training & Development: Assist all team members are trained in new equipment, processes, and safety protocols, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between production staff and management, facilitating open communication regarding production status, challenges, and resource needs.
- Inventory Control: Assist in overseeing materials usage and inventory levels, ensuring efficient use of resources while minimizing waste.
Required Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a team lead role within a printing or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with graphic design software such as CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator is required to assist in design-related tasks.
- Must possess a good grasp of color theory with an ability to edit colors within a digital environment to ensure color accuracy is maintained throughout the process.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and a proven track record of promoting a safe work environment.
- Positive and collaborative attitude with ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to resolve production-related issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work crossfunctionally with different teams.
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design & Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
