Job Description: **DIRECTOR, PEOPLE ANALYTICS & SYSTEMS** Victoria or Vancouver **The opportunity** Our People and Safety team is expanding and we are seeking a skilled leader to join our dynamic team. As the leader of a new center of excellence, the Director, PeopleAnalytics and Systems will bring their expertise as a data-driven decision-maker and a strategic thinker. With the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, you provide leadership, structure and vision to a small team of professionals. In this role, you guide the organizational strategy for People data, including data governance, tools, technology, and team development, to support data-driven decision making throughout the organization. Through many projects, you will have opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data tools and lead projects that will play a critical role in shaping the strategies that directly impact the employee life-cycle. **The Role** Reporting to the Vice President & Chief People Officer, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as: - Developing and implementing the people analytics strategy, in alignment with our overall People & Safety and the company’s business objectives - Collaborating with People & Safety and cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics projects - Presenting data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership, enabling them to make informed decisions - Leading a team to gather, analyze, and interpret People data and provide recommendations to executive leadership team - Building predictive analytic capabilities for the People & Safety team and driving strong People Capital Management through talent insights - Defining and designing workforce planning and job architecture methodologies and plans in partnership with key stakeholders - Collaborating with IT, legal and other departments to ensure a unified approach to data security and compliance across the organization - Owning the oversight and process improvement related to People tools, including creating and driving an adoption strategy for new and existing tools to create a scalable roadmap **What you bring to the team** You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields. A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative discipline is an asset. You bring 4 to 6 years of experience in a data analytics or data science role with extensive experience with data mining.
