**March Break Robotics Instructor - (1-Week Assignment)**
**Location: Toronto, ON**
**(This is an in person position. We have opportunities in Markham, Richmond Hill, Scarborough, Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Hamilton, Muskoka and Bracebridge.)**
**Start Date**: March 10-14, 2025
**Duration**: 1 week contract (with possibility of extension - see below)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated **Robotics Instructor** to join our team and deliver STEM-based learning for our March Break Learning Camp. This role requires on-site teaching for one consecutive week - March 10-14, 2025.
- (*There is a possibility of extension to continue teaching Monday to Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm beginning March 31 - June 19, 2025, and also for 7 weeks full time (40 hours per week) during the summer from July 7 - August 22, 2025) _
- This role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment in a learning camp setting to nurturing each student's potential._
**Key Dates**:

- **March 31 - June 19, 2025** - (Monday to Thursday - 10 hours per week) - optional
- **July 7 - August 22, 2025 -**(40 hours per week) - optional

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement engaging robotics lessons and planning that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
- Maintain classroom organization and manage student behavior effectively.
**Requirements**:
- **YOU MUST HOLD A VULNERABLE SECTOR POLICE CLEARANCE CHECK VALID WITHIN 1 YEAR (If you do not currently have one, you will be required to apply)**:
- **Must be familiar with snap circuits, arduino, circuit kits and Lego mindstorms.**:
- Ability to teach during March 10 - 14, 2025 full time from 8 am to 5 pm at any of the locations listed above. **(You are required to have availability for all 5 days)**
**Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled, or Bachelor's degree or higher in related STEM fields, or provincially certified teacher.
**Experience**
- Previous teaching experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; new graduates or university students are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques and the ability to adapt lessons for various learning needs.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools is a plus.

Pay: $23.94 per hour
