Assists pharmacy with supporting tasks for processessing, pricing and selling prescriptions to patients. Assists patients at counter, retrieves prescriptions, processes register transactions. Orders and stocks drugs, supplies and over the counter and behind the counter merchandise.
Daily tasks and responsibilities:
- Assists patients at counter, and retrieves filled prescriptions. Processes register transactions, receive payment, make change, processes cheques, credit and debit charges. Provides prompt and courteous patient service. Answers phones, directs patients to product location and preserves patient confidentiality.
- Follows safety and security procedures
- Orders, receives, tags and stocks prescription drugs and supplies. Follows product storage procedures and standards.
- Orders, receives, tags and stocks over the counter product in accordance with merchandising plan for department. Creates product signs.
- Cleans department by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping and dusting. Empties trash, operates trash compactor and cardboard bailer.
- May assist with packaging pharmacy prescriptions based on the needs of the business
- Assists in other areas of the warehouse as necessary
Previous pharmacy experience is preferred.
Previous experience with Kroll pharmacy software preferred.
Typical shifts and days off will be discussed at the time of the interview.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
