Tastefully decorated with its rows of charming wooden huts, Christmas trees and bright Christmas lights, VCM provides the perfect setting to celebrate the holiday with its authentic food, drinks and unique gifts, and has developed a reputation as “Vancouver’s ticket to the holiday season.”

**Full-Time Employment Opportunities - GUEST EXPERIENCE & BRAND AMBASSADORS**

As VCM will once again develop into the focal point of the holiday season in Vancouver, we are looking for customer focused, detail-oriented and multi-tasking self-starters to join our team as Guest Experience & Brand Ambassadors. This position requires full-time availability and a commitment of 40 hours per week. The term for employment is from November 8th, 2024, to December 24th, 2024.

**Role and Responsibilities**

**Box Office**
- Cross trained on Box Office, Ticket Scanning and VCM Info/Merchandise Hut
- Greet guests with a positive and friendly attitude
- Utilize ticketing software and POS systems (Knowledge of Square & Showpass system is an asset)
- Cash handling
- Communicate guest information, answer questions and provide directions in a professional manner
- Onsite merchandise sales at VCM Info Hut
- Receive and log Lost & Found items

**Front of House**
- Cross trained on line-ups, Carousel and G&E Assistance
- Organize entry line-ups and control the flow of guests
- Greet guests with a positive and friendly attitude
- Communicate guest information, provide directions, and answer any questions concisely and clearly in a good manner
- Front line communicator for patron health & safety
- Operate carousel
- Help set up Alpen Haus for Group Bookings
- Clear tables and assist with signage
- Report any incidents or customer complaints to Coordinators
- Other duties as assigned

**Street Team/ Mascots**
- Manage guest experience and create a fun, welcoming character experience
- Walk around downtown Vancouver and promote the Vancouver Christmas Market
- Be present at the Vancouver Christmas Market for pictures
- Distribute VCM collateral
- Communicate with customers, especially kids in a good manner
- Act as a Market ambassador
- Wear and keep the costumes in good condition
- Support colleagues that wear the costumes
- Communicate any costume repair notes in a timely manner

**Requirements and Selection Criteria**

To be considered for a position, you must:

- Be willing to provide a criminal record check
- Be willing to stand for long periods of time
- Be willing to work outdoors in various climates
- Be willing to inform guests of unique products
- Have an outgoing, energetic, and friendly personality
- Have excellent customer service, time management and communication skills
- Have dedication and passion for Christmas festivities and events
- Be fluent in written and spoken English

**Compensation, Incentives and Bonus**
- CAD 20.50 / Hour
- Gratuity Share from VCM Beverage Huts (Based on Hours Worked)
- Completion Bonus for finishing the VCM season - Based on Hours Worked.
