**Job Type**:Full-time (40 hours per week), Year-round
**Wage**:$20-25 per hour, depends on experience and trade certifications

**About this job**:
We are looking for a well-rounded tradesman to keep our lodge and property in good condition and be able to assist where problems arise. This job description is not all-inclusive but gives a general overview of what skills are required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct preventative maintenance and keep all buildings in good repair
- General repairs on plumbing, heating, generators, kitchen equipment
- Important - Upkeep and maintenance of diesel powered generators
- Coordinate tasks with maintenance co-workers
- Repair and remodel buildings
- Perform minor repairs on gas station, electrical systems, plumbing, painting, carpentry
- locksmith and repairing windows, water heaters and pumps for proper operation and record
- information in a daily log
- Ensure that all maintenance issues are appropriately addressed
- Perform regular maintenance on generators and company vehicles
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling and ventilation systems, drywall,
- power generators, fire panels, appliances and common areas around the buildings
- Keep inventory of maintenance supplies
- Keep hand tools in working order
- Keep workshops clean and organized
- Respond to after hour calls to attend to breakdowns
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
**Physical Demands**:
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.
- Ability to lift and carry 0-25 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the shift.
- Must be able to push and pull equipment of various sizes and weights throughout the shift.
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.
- Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, hearing ability and visual acuity.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in the trades e.g. electrician, plumber
- Has a good working command of the English language
- Canadian citizen / permanent resident or has a valid work visa
- British Columbia Class 5 drives license (Standard license)
**Pluses**:
- British Columbia Class 4 drivers license (Commercial license)
- Experience in working in the hotel industry as a maintenance person would be ideal
- Salary/Wage: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
