**Job Summary**
We are seeking a versatile, self motivated cook who can work independently for a **seasonal** **contract** role. This position begins **immediately and runs until the end of May.** Hours are flexible, with part-time options available from **20-40 hours per week.** In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, following established recipes, and ensuring consistency and quality. Additionally, you will work under the direction of the head chef and be responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and occasionally washing dishes. **Duties**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards set by the head chef.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Wash dishes and perform other cleaning duties as required.
- Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the head chef.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in a restaurant, catering, or similar culinary environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to prepare a variety of meals efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure during busy shifts.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

**Preferred (Not Required)**
- A personal vehicle for reliable transportation.
- Experience with catering events and cooking for large parties.
