Detailed Overview: The Clinical Psychologist works as a member of an interprofessional clinical team to provide a full range of psychodiagnostic assessment services, including administration, scoring and interpretation of test batteries, report writing and presentation to referral sources regarding results. The Clinical Psychologist also provides consultative services to referral sources regarding issues relevant to the practice of clinical psychology, psychological treatment to individuals and groups, and supervises students in the practice of evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapies. Responsibilities:

- Accepts referrals from clinical team members and provides consultation on assessment and treatment issues, which may involve interventions such as a formal assessment, group or individual therapy.
- Provides a comprehensive oral and/or written assessment of client functioning that may include specific information on any of the following areas: psychological (including psychological/psychiatric and personality disorders), intellectual.
- Conducts assessments through a variety of treatment modalities including interviewing, behavioural, observation, self-report inventories and psychologist administered test batteries.
- Provides evidence-based psychological treatment to individuals and groups addressing a wide variety of presenting clinical issues, such as mood and anxiety disorders.
- Produces and maintains confidential client clinical records in accordance with established standards and procedures; writes timely and accurate reports of relevant observations and evaluation of care to ensure continuity of communication and full client documentation.
- Offers consultation to colleagues on assessment and treatment issues, which may involve a direct consultation as with a formal assessment or a discussion with the colleague over concerns regarding a particular client.
- Participates in the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, pathways, protocols and decision support tools for psychiatric patients/clients across the hospital and community. Assists with the analysis of data in order to make necessary adjustments to guidelines and pathways.
- Attends and participates in multidisciplinary conferences, medical rounds, and service and department meetings.
- Participates in program evaluation, program planning, and program implementation, education services and consults to program services and committees as requested.
- Participates in short and long term planning for Mental Health and Substance Use Services and in the establishment and auditing of quality assurance activities.
- Supervises psychology students and interns as assigned.
- Participates in clinical research activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
**Education and Experience**
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (CPBC).

Three (3) years' recent related experience in psychodiagnostic assessment of psychological function and disorders and evidence-based psychological treatments of mood, anxiety, and other disorders.
