**Document Specialist, Residential Mortgages, AVEO Channel**

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Document Specialist to join our non-prime Residential Mortgage division. Where mainstream lenders stop, CMLS digs deeper to unearth a life story that can be just as creditworthy. **About the role**:
- Review mortgage documentation
- Review information presented and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies
- Confirming appropriate due diligence has been completed on all documents
- Verify data to ensure it meets with company guidelines
- Prioritize deals in the workflow queue
- Correspond with mortgage brokers to attain outstanding documentation needed to complete requirements as stipulated on the mortgage commitment.
- Manage the files from the time of commitment to all conditions met
- Provide liaison and support for Underwriters and Funders
- Knowledge of the documentation required for all mortgage products
**This role is for you if you have**:
- Experience with compliance review is preferred
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of residential mortgage legal documentation
- 1 or more years of experience in the mortgage industry (residential mortgage experience is strongly preferred)
- Ability to understand financial statements
- Extensive knowledge of the review process for all documentation is preferred
