You will contribute to pre-season strategy and in-season management of all products within your respective categories. You will leverage data to make informed decisions on the business and drive sales growth. You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an Omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor. **Main Responsibilities**: - Conduct in-depth analysis on current business to inform future strategy - Deliver on KPI results such as sales, gross margin, markdown rates etc - Ownership of category OTB (open to buy); sales, receipt flow and BOP targets - Build strategy behind the assortment plan focused on floor-set lifecycles, trends and CC productivity - Lead monthly business review and quarterly hindsights telling the story behind the numbers and recommend actionable takeaways - Own pricing and markdown recommendations strategy - Turning the pre-season assortment plan into key item and lifecycle plans - Work closely with cross functional teams including Merchandising, Allocation, and Regional Product Intelligence to strategize and execute category plans **Qualifications**: - Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; - 1-3 years of experience in Planning or Allocation in the retail industry - Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a curious personality - Advanced Excel skills To be a great fit, you must... - Thrive fast paced environment - Comfortable handling change and pivoting strategies - Build partnerships and prioritize collaboration - Be able to make tough decisions backed by data - Challenge the status quo through a proactive, action-oriented approach - Communicate information in an effective and concise manner to both team and leadership - Experience with US and/or International Planning (nice-to-have) At GDI, you will be part of a growing organization that understands the importance of investing in people and offers you: - A comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-driven bonuses; - A group retirement savings program with employer matching; - Flexible group insurance with personalized coverage that meets your needs; - An employee discount at Garage and Dynamite; - Exclusive private sample sales; - A flexible vacation policy; - And more GDI has been repeatedly voted one of Montréal’s Top Employers and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People. **Our promise** No day will be like the last—we aim to be better today than we were yesterday.
