**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Plan, organize, and implement recreational programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Facilitate group and individual activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Assist residents in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to encourage participation and gather feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in recreational activities.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure the needs of residents are met during activities.
- Adapt activities to accommodate residents with varying levels of ability, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that enhances socialization among residents.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors.
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual resident needs and preferences.
- A background in therapeutic recreation or related fields is a plus but not required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 24 per week

Additional pay:
