**Position Overview**

As a member of the Gatehouse Construction team, the Site Safety/Admin will promote a safe and healthy work environment and provide emergency first aid to all on-site personnel, as well as conduct general administrative tasks for the project. You will ensure Gatehouse Construction and sub-trades meet industry safety standards. You will provide health, safety, and administrative support to the Site Superintendent, act as a liaison between the site and the head office and be available to help the site team with general daily tasks (cleanup, equipment operating, organization, direction)

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Monitor safety compliance of all individuals. This includes maintaining records of safety certifications and safe work procedures.
- Conduct safety orientations for all new workers and visitors, daily site inspections, weekly toolbox meetings, etc. and filing accordingly.
- Provide emergency first aid and maintain stock of first aid supplies.
- Act as a liaison between the site and head office/management.
- General administrative tasks including, but not limited to:

- submitting payroll timesheets to head office
- collect, file, and submit site documentation to the necessary departments
- maintain site office cleanliness and organization including ordering supplies as necessary
- Assist the site superintendent and general foreman to place orders, oversee deliveries & collect packing slips, maintain back-charge records & submit to head office, schedule inspections, etc.
- Clean up and general site tasks as required by site team. Equipment operating an additional asset.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in construction safety
- Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new technology. Must be able to work with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Procore.
- Minimum Occupational First Aid Level 2 certificate
- CSO or NCSO Certification is considered an asset
- Solid understanding of WorkSafeBC and provincial regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards is considered an asset.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English. Due to worker diversity on our sites, understanding multiple languages is considered and asset.
- Must have a valid class-5 driver’s license or reliable form of transportation to construction sites.
- Mobile equipment certification is an asset.
- Willingness to learn and grow in your career.

**Salary**

$25.00 - $35.00

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
