Packaging and Processing Team Lead

**Rock Ridge Dairy** is Western Canada’s largest goat milk processing facility situated in rural Ponoka Alberta. We produce quality goat and Organic Jersey milk and cheese products and are now and we are seeking a mature, experienced and responsible individual to work as a Packaging and Processing Team Lead.
The individual in this position will be required to learn about and help with and actively oversee daily production tasks such as bottling and packing products as well as cleaning and sanitation.
This position would include;
1.Set up and sanitation of machinery.
2. Actively overseeing and participating in the packaging of milk and cheese products.
3.Troubleshoot machinery to improve operations
4.Clean up after production and assisting with monthly and weekly cleaning tasks
5.CIP operations
5.Record Keeping
6.Sorting orders
7, Serving as a back up delivery person for bring orders into Red Deer, Edmonton and Calgary areas with about 15-22 stops in each location. Class 5 license required.
Personal qualities for the individual we are seeking would be:
1.Highly organized.
2.Self motivated and driven to succeed
3.Personable and able to develop comradery within a team
4.Willing to work longer hours and under pressure in stressful situations within timelines while maintaining professionalism
5.Able to handle situations in a calm and collected manner
6.Physically fit since the job required repetitive handling of product up to 18kg in weight.
**Key Education and Skills**
Previous Leadership experience is an asset.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Quality regulatory requirements and system
Strong understanding of manufacturing food processes
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
Strong leadership and communication skills
$22.00-24.00 per hour starting wage. Performance and salary will be reviewed after 3 months.
Early start times with longer hours (Over 8.8 hours per day) are sometimes required. 5:30am/6am start time is typical. Production follows an atypical schedule and hours need to be flexible to meet the demands of production. The work place works off a monthly averaging agreement.
Training for the right person can be provided. Gold / Green personalities are preferred.
**Salary**: $48,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
