Parkdale Montessori School is looking for a **Child Care Floater**.
The child care floater aids throughout the day in the classrooms of Toddler (age 18 to 36 months) and Casa ( age 3 to 6 years). They support the work of the teacher, and help in the preparation and maintenance of the classroom and school facility. The child care floater helps with the supervision of the classroom, as well as at recess, during nap, on outings, and during the precare and aftercare programs.
- Fluency in English
- Preferably fluency or very good knowledge of spoken French
- Have a passion for learning and working with children
- Able to work both as a team and individually
- Certified in Standard First Aid, including Infant and & Child Level C
- Current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector check
- Updated Immunization records and/or exemptions letter
- Ability to be flexible and work in different classroom settings
- Reliable attendance
- Good communicator
- Comfortable with a physically demanding schedule, cleaning, washing dishes, and supervising children
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience preferred
- Knowledge in Montessori education preferred
This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 9:15 am - 5:15 pm.
