**Position Summary**:
Hestia Kitchen is excited to announce that we are adding a second location. After great success in Kitsilano we are expanded to Richmond.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Food Preparation**:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is served promptly and meets the restaurant’s standards for taste and presentation.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
- **Station Management**:
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned station.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly and labeled with the correct dates.
- **Quality Control**:
- Monitor food stock and inform the Head Chef of any shortages.
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients regularly.
- Ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
- **Health and Safety**:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely service.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
