Genco Asphalt is currently seeking a Seasonal - Full time Heavy Equipment Operator from the Estevan or Weyburn area. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment such as, but not limited to, loaders, dozers, graders, compacters, water trucks, oil trucks, and skid steers. Operators must maintain their equipment to ensure health and safety of themselves and others. This position is Full-time seasonal with the opportunity for Permanent Full

Job Duties:

- Operate gasoline and diesel powered units
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Diagnose / identify defects in heavy duty equipment and report back to supervisor
- Perform safety, maintenance, and servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment. Clean, lubricate, and fuel equipment daily
- Strong mechanical inclination
- Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation and Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
- Other duties as required

Required Experience:

- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment
- Must have a Valid driver’s license
- High attention to detail with strong values rooted in health and safety
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Scheduling flexibility as overtime may be required

Schedule:

- Weekends as needed
