**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook with experience to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver high-quality dishes while adhering to food safety standards. If you have a passion for the food industry and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Experience with Greek cuisine is preferred but not required.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Ensure all food safety and handling procedures are followed to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Help with menu planning and special requests as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques.
**Skills**
- Proficient in meal preparation techniques and understanding of various cooking methods.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
- Attention to detail in maintaining quality standards for food presentation and taste.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing menus or customer requests.
