**Position: Finance Manager**
**Position Overview**
The Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial reports and effective management of payments, receivables and reconciliation. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial aspects of NCSAC including, staff benefit program, budgets, services, events, marketing and food and beverage operations.
**Reporting Relationship(s)**
The Finance Manager will report directly to the Executive Director.
**Essential Job Functions**
**_
Financial_**
1.1 Oversee the effective completion of cheque requisitions, purchase orders, financial deposits, and bank reconciliations.
1.2 Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable for the NCSAC and all subsidiaries.
1.3 Oversee yearly audit in conjunction with Executive Director and assist auditors in year-end procedures.
1.4 Reconcile bank accounts with Niagara College accounting department in conjunction with the Executive Director.
1.5 Update NCSAC and Student Centre operational budgets and prepare Student Centre monthly statements for all subsidiaries.
1.6 Conduct payroll for employees and Board members of NCSAC.
1.7 Coordinate all banking services and maintain relations with financial institution.
1.8 Manager financial investments in conjunction with the Executive Director.
1.9 Update and submit Directors’ and Officers’ information for Ontario Corporation return.
**_ Logistics_**
2.1 Sit on committees set out in policy manual or as asked by the Executive Director or Board of Directors.
2.2 Act as signing officer of corporation.
2.3 Investigate and implement financial best practices using industry standards.
**_ Human Resources_**
3.1 Provide guidance to all NCSAC personnel on financial policies, procedures, and industries standards.
3.2 Work with Executive Director to oversee benefit programs for full-time staff including but not limited to health & dental, parking, telephone and RRSPs.
3.3 Maintain payroll records and disbursement of paystubs and ensure compliance of HR records in payroll system including disbursement of annual T4’s, records of employment and likewise.
3.4 Complete annual evaluation of the Finance Administrator.
**_ Services_**
4.1 Facilitate all financial aspects of the student health and dental benefit program including reconciliations, opt-in pricing, disbursements, refunds, payments, and tracking.
4.2 Work in conjunction with all department managers to facilitate the purchasing and finance needs.

Miscellaneous_**
5.1 Understand and abide by the NCSAC constitution, by-laws, policies, procedures and employee manual.
5.2 Perform other duties as required to support and foster growth in the Corporation.
5.3 Maintain and act in accordance with the Corporations privacy policy.
**Qualifications**
- College Diploma or University Degree in Finance related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Accounting/Book Keeping and/or Financial Analysis.
- Experience with HR practices and onboarding are an asset.
- Knowledge of financial reporting software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative supervisory style.
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners.
