Job Summary:
We’re searching for an experienced content strategist to join our team. As a Team Lead, Content Design, you’ll combine strategic thinking with content creation and management, ensuring content is useful, usable, and consistent across our organization's digital presence. This involves content governance, planning, creating, and managing content, as well as analyzing its performance.

You are a collaborator who skillfully oversees a team of creatives and balances administrative tasks alongside your editorial duties. You’re never short of ideas for improving existing content, and you’re always on the lookout for content gaps that need filling.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead content design and implementation strategy for multiple platforms, including Porter’s website and mobile app to ensure business requirements are being met.
- Develop and evolve content governance, processes and workflows.
- Shape and structure the architecture of content based on user-centred design principles.
- Collaborate with designers, UX researchers, product owners and the larger content team to create content that is usable, understandable, and respectful for diverse audiences, considering various needs and perspectives from the outset of the content development process.
- Manage and maintain copy decks, including internal stakeholder revisions, legal/compliance feedback and accessibility copy.
- Coordinate content intake and production, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide coaching and guidance to content designers and writers to assure that their content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with the brand voice.
- Encourage a continuous improvement mindset in content team members.
- Implement SEO best practices to ensure all content ranks well and demonstrates an understanding of its target audience.
- Perform regular content audits to ensure content is accurate, optimized, updated, and relevant to the target audience.
- Track key metrics (engagement, traffic, conversions) and use data to refine content strategy.
- Conduct research: analyze audience behaviour, industry trends and competitor content to inform content strategy.
- Actively engage in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply with, and promote the Company Safety Policy.

Qualifications:

- A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or similar field
- At least 3 years’ experience working as a content strategist, content lead or manager
- Proven leadership skills and experience
- Exceptional writing and editing skills (particularly UX writing expertise)
- In-depth knowledge of digital/mobile and user experience
- Understanding of user-centred content design
- Excellent organizational skills
- A knack for creativity
- Experience using content management systems and analytics tools (example: Contentstack and Google Search Console).
- A strong grasp of UX and SEO best practices
- Some knowledge of web design, including HTML and CSS
