**Job Summary**:
**Location**: Guelph, ON
- In this dynamic, fast paced environment, the
- **Shipper/Receiver** is responsible for shipping/receiving all FPI inventory and merchandise on a regular basis, while working under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor.**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Shipping and receiving of all products within the ERP system
- Ensure proper packaging and palletizing of product to ensure no loss or damage during shipping
- Accurately account for all merchandise leaving the facility on a daily basis
- Pull product and load/unload trucks safely, efficiently, and accurately
- Perform regular inventory counts as scheduled
- Utilize hand held bar coding system to track the movement of product
- Maintain appropriate levels and when necessary request additional shipping supplies
- Keep a clean and safe warehouse at all times
- Demonstrate courteous, polite, and business-like manner when communicating with customers
- Maintain warehouse equipment in proper and clean working order; including daily forklift inspections
- Other related duties as assigned
**Abilities/Skills/Knowledge**:
- Excellent communications skills (written/verbal) in English
- Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge in a variety of computer software programs
- Flexible and willing to work in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day)
**Education/Training**:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
**Experience**:
- Previous experience providing customer service is an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a warehousing capacity
- Forklift experience required
