**The Opportunity**:
The **Decedent Transfer Driver & Admin Support **position requires a high level of compassion and a caring individual who enjoys helping others and being on call.
The role comes with a comprehensive compensation package, including a base hourly rate of $22 - $24, health, dental, and insurance benefits, a wellness spending account, and a Company RRSP matching program.
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, who enjoy working with and helping people. Must be proficient in English both verbal and written (other languages an asset) and be able to perform physical requirements of the job.
**Duties may include**:
- Transportation and transfer of deceased individuals from their place of passing (including care homes, hospices, hospitals, coroners, morgues, MAID, and private residences) to the funeral home, as well as interoffice transfers between all RSR locations.
- Preparation and processing of paperwork for each transfer at various locations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Reviewing, updating, and delivering all relevant paperwork related to the decedent.
- Collecting toxicology samples as required.
- Driving company vehicles to and from all locations in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintaining company vehicles in a clean and organized condition, and assisting with the coordination and sharing of company vehicles.
- Providing administrative support as needed, including maintaining records, assisting with documentation, and supporting general office operations.
- Assisting with additional duties as required to support the team and overall operations.
**Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications**:
- Have a good demeanor and professional outlook.
- Be an excellent communicator and team player.
- Hold themselves to a high standard of service, with strong attention to detail.
- Be empathetic and compassionate, and someone who genuinely enjoys helping others.
- Be physically capable of standing for long periods.
- Be able to comfortably lift 50-75 lbs. and transfer decedents from one place to another.
- Possess a Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Availability to work full-time, with the potential for overtime hours to accommodate operational needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) for administrative and documentation tasks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
