We’re looking for a hands-on Clinical Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy family medicine clinic in Ottawa. You’ll be the go-to person for supporting both the clinical and administrative teams, ensuring workflows run smoothly, and helping our team provide exceptional care to every patient.

This is a key leadership role that blends clinical expertise with team management, HR support, training development, and patient care delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Daily Operations & Workflow Oversight**
- Manage day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring seamless coordination between admin and clinical teams.
- Support efficient patient flow and assist staff in delivering timely care.
- Monitor documentation workflows, flag gaps, and help implement process improvements.

**Clinical Support & Patient Care**
- Take vitals, perform ECGs, collect blood/urine samples, and conduct rapid testing.
- Administer immunizations, vaccines, allergy shots, and support minor procedures.
- Triaging patients based on clinical urgency and scope of practice.
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations as needed.
- Ensure clinical safety protocols, infection control, and best practices are followed.

**Team Leadership & HR**
- Provide direct supervision to administrative staff and medical assistants.
- Foster a supportive, team-oriented work environment.
- Handle performance evaluations, coaching, and day-to-day staff support.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new staff members.

**Training & Development**
- Create and implement training modules for onboarding and continuous education.
- Run ongoing training sessions to keep staff up to date on clinic procedures, policies, and regulatory changes.
- Support professional development and cross-training opportunities for team members.

**Billing, Referrals & Documentation**
- Oversee accurate OHIP and non-OHIP billing processes, ensuring compliance and identifying/correcting errors.
- Manage all incoming/outgoing referrals, coordinate with specialists, and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
- Maintain and update referral tracking and reporting systems.

**Patient Escalations & Support**
- Address and de-escalate patient concerns or disruptive behaviours in the waiting room with professionalism and empathy.
- Act as the first point of contact for any patient issues that require escalation.

**Inventory & Equipment**
- Oversee inventory management of medical and non-medical supplies.
- Ensure proper stocking in exam rooms and monitor equipment sterilization and maintenance.
- Coordinate lab pickups and supply deliveries as needed.

**Other Duties**
- Work closely with clinic management and physicians to support broader clinic goals.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support clinic operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in triage, immunization, and assisting with minor clinical procedures.
- 3+ years of clinical experience, preferably in a primary care or family medicine setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with EMRs, OHIP billing, and clinical documentation systems.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
