**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design and synthesize new chemical entity small molecules as putative drug platforms
- Conduct multi-step syntheses of small molecules using state-of-the-art synthetic organic chemistry methods
- Conduct structure
- and ligand-based design and basic molecular modelling
- Work collaboratively with expert researchers across a multitude of disease biology areas and other scientific disciplines
- Conduct due diligence on potential therapeutic targets

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or related field
- Expertise and experience in standard techniques of synthetic organic chemistry
- Effective team player with strong collaborative troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams is an asset
- Solid documentation skills and organizational ability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Basic knowledge of key concepts in biochemistry and pharmacology an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $53,303.00-$69,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
