**Employment Type**:Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)
**Job Summary**:
The Program Officer contributes to the wellness, social wellbeing, and lifelong learning of older adults through supporting S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’s seniors’ membership groups and seniors academy.
**Reports To**: Program Director
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develops and maintains a supportive relationship with existing and new senior clients accessing program activities
- Facilitates and supports volunteer led seniors group meetings and activities
- Schedules and organizes in-person and online social and lifelong learning activities
- Recruits and works with volunteers and staff to support program activities
- Organizes seasonal celebrations, showcases, festivities, and events
- Maintains accurate membership, client and program activity records according to funder, agency, and evaluation needs
- Compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports and statistics as required
- Ensures program activities and practices adhere to overall agency standards and policies
- Implements changes and improvements to the program in line with program targets
- Develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Supports other community events hosted by the division
- Performs other related duties as required by Program Director
**Education, Training and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Health, Education, or related discipline (social work preferred). Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- A minimum of 1 (one) year of experience in delivering services in a community-based senior service setting, preferably for multi-ethnic older adults
- Experience working with diverse client population groups
- Experience working with older adult populations
- Experience in supervising and working with volunteers
- Experience with a diverse clientele and immigrant related services
- Occupational First Aid Certification is an asset
**Job Skills and Abilities**:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence in service delivery
**Additional Information**:
- Criminal Record Check Required
- Able to work weekends as required
