Always striving to live up to its motto, Superior by Nature, the Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay (City) currently seeks multiple **Service Technicians “A” (Student)** **Service Technician A Student** **The Opportunity** As a Student Service Technician “A”, you will service Transit buses, equipment and complete inspection reports. This role reports to the Supervisor, Leadhand Service Technician A with the following accountabilities: - Performs major and minor interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles. - Performs interior repairs, seat repairs, and upholstering on vehicles/equipment. - Performs servicing of vehicles/equipment, including greasing, changing oil, inspecting, wheel torquing and cleaning, sandblasting, fueling, probing, and dumping fare boxes, - Completes required documentation, records and provides accurate data regarding all servicing repairs & conditions found. - Responds to service calls relating to bus service issues as required. - Grade 12 graduation. - Experience in the servicing/operation of buses and equipment. - Must have a mechanical aptitude. - Must be capable of issuing and accurately comprehending written/oral information and instructions. - Must possess and maintain a valid class “G” Driver Ontario Drivers Licence or equivalent. - Must be enrolled in full or part-time post-secondary education and maintain status as a full or part time post-secondary student.
