**Salary**: $2,345.14 to $3,076.25 bi-weekly ($61,208-$80,290/year)

The Corporate Registry Unit is responsible for the registration of corporations, extra-provincial corporations, cooperatives, non-profit companies and societies

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Corporate Registries and as a member of the Corporate Registry business unit, you will be part of a team responsible for Corporate Registry program governance, policy development, project work and administration including liaison with other business areas, government departments, stakeholders, the public, and other jurisdictions.

Your knowledge of the Corporate Registry related legislation, policy and procedures and challenges will enable you to consult with the registry agents and members of the public to address a variety of issues and questions.

**As a Corporate Registry Specialist, your responsibilities for this position include but not limited to**:

- Protect the integrity of the Corporate Registry System (CORES), completes performance monitoring of filings completed by accredited professionals in strict adherence to legislative requirements, policy and performance standards.
- Directly provide examination and registration of non-profit transactions to members of the Alberta non-profit community.
- Complete complex and precedent setting filings, not contracted to private sector service providers.

- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders of CORES.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in a field related or equivalent as described below

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience may be considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education

**Corporate Registry Specialist, is expected to have knowledge and/or experience in**:
A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all relevant statutes, legislation and filing requirements, or experience with related legislation.
- Corporate Registry System (CORES) Accreditation, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.
- Experience with the Corporate Registry system (CORES).
- Equivalencies will be considered.
