Looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a fantastic team and grow our business? Sprott Money Ltd. is seeking an Accounting Associate to assist with financial record keeping, precious metals storage program management, and analysis and reporting. The Accounting Associate reports to the CFO, as part of a team of other Accounting Associates and works closely with the Sales and Operations departments. This position requires compliance with tight deadlines and many accounting activities including billing, general ledger entries, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and inventory analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Precious Metals Storage Accounts Management
- Daily transactional entries, monthly billing for precious metals storage, and administration
- G/L Daily/Monthly Processing in multi-currency
- Creates and enters Accounts Receivable billings as requested
- Enters and posts deposits
- Reviews and enters Accounts Payable invoices and Credit Card entries
- Creates payments and distributes
- Posts and reconciles A/P and A/R
- Inventory Management and Analysis
- Monitors daily shipments, and matches with orders and inventory levels
- Inventory reconciliation
- Month End Reporting
- Prepares, enters and posts journal entries including recurring journal entries and allocations
- Ensures an accurate and timely month-end close
- Provides support to all staff in understanding financial procedures and reports
- Financial Analysis
- Completes monthly sales reports and analysis

Other
- Prepares Government and Statutory Filings, including GST/HST, EHT
- Other tasks as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting
- CPA student preferred
- 3 to 5 years of work experience, preferably in the retail, or financial sector
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft with emphasis on Intermediate Excel
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is an asset
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required
- Proven attention to accuracy and details
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and work as an effective member of a team
- Must pass criminal record check
