**Job Description**:
Laundry Aide Qualifications and Duties: Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Sorting, loading washing machines and dryers, folding and stacking laundry. Cleaning, folding, and delivering linens, towels, clothing protectors (bibs). Cleaning, sorting, and organizing resident personal clothing. Tagging new resident admission’s personal clothing. Cleaning housekeeping cloths and mop heads. Considerable lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and moving equipment. Exposure to chemical agents. Routinely checks the laundry detergent in the dispensing system, replaces empty containers, and updates the Support Services Manager when inventory quantities are low. Informs the Support Services Manager and/or Maintenance staff of any equipment issues. Ability to work safely using PPE, following established safety practices and procedures. Follow the job routines as set out by the department manager. Must work alternate weekends on a fixed rotation.
