Summer Camp Counsellor

William Academy Cobourg Campus is seeking a Summer Camp Counselor starting July 4. Campers are international youth whose first language are not English.

**Job Description**:

- Lead or Assist campers during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Lead or Assist in planning and leading indoor and outdoor activities, such as hiking, canoeing, and team-building exercises,, including hands-on experiments, building projects, and educational games. Actively engage in camp activities
- Oversee general safety, participation, engagement, and enjoyment of participants in camp
- Experience in working with children and youth
- Act as a positive role model for campers, fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and inclusivity
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic and energetic personality
- Ability to work long hours in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
- Available onsite for the duration of camp, including all days, evenings, and maybe some overnights at the camp site, including weekends.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 4-5 weeks

Pay: From $200.00 per day

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cobourg, ON K9A 2M7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Work Location: In person
