S&T Properties is a full-service rental management company that maintains vacation properties across Canada. We manage the entire rental operation from setting up new units to communication, property maintenance, and marketing. This position has to be filled urgently. S&T Properties is looking to fill this position on a full-time basis but is willing to provide part-time as well. While reporting to the Maintenance Manager & Project Manager, this position is located in Golden, BC. The Maintenance Specialist will attend to diverse repairs and improvements in our short-term rental properties. We are looking for a dependable, hard-working individual with safe work practices that thrives to provide the best results. This is an important part of the overall quality of the guest experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Use expertise to provide sustainable solutions or improvements.
- Assemble and install electronic components, furniture, etc.
- Paint or repair, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
- Perform repairs on appliances such as ovens, refrigerators, etc.
- Install electrical components, equipment, or systems.
- Repair electrical circuits or wiring.
- Replace worn, damaged, or defective areas of a system or furniture.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work using the appropriate platform.
- Answer to the occasional urgent calls
- Assist in other areas such as cleaning, if needed

**Qualifications**
- Resourceful, creative, able to make decisions and possess problem-solving abilities.
- A great communicator and able to use the designated platforms to do so.
- Able to Organize, plan, and prioritize work.
- Dependable, perform work without direct supervision and follow instructions given by the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager.
- Safety oriented.
- Creative and have an eye for detail.
- licenced and/or certified in one ormore relevant fields (ex: construction, carpentry, etc) is considered an asset

**Requirements**:

- Previous relevant experience is required.
- Experience in short-term rentals is considered (an asset).
- A valid driver’s licence, own a vehicle and be willing to drive to the designated properties.
- A smartphone.
- English proficiency.
