Head Cook

For almost 80 years our residential camp has provided a safe and unique experience for children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. Our camp is located near Fergus, on Belwood Lake in southwestern Ontario.

Belwood Lodge and Camp is seeking a Head Cook to plan food services at

camp and provide leadership in the kitchen. The Head Cook is

responsible for fostering a positive work environment in the kitchen,

planning camp meals and ordering food, ensuring the accurate food

preparation and special diets for all camp meals.

What we are looking for:

- Positive mindset
- Food Handlers certificate
- Criminal Background Check
- Experience working in a kitchen environment
- Experience with Special Diets (i.e Diabetic, Puree, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Low Sodium, Etc.)
- Experience with food ordering and inventory
- Strong organizational skills
- An interest in working with people with disabilities
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading a group of kitchen staff an asset
- Camp experience an asset

Pay: $900.00-$1,000.00 per week
