We are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Manufacturing Bioprocess Technician to become a key member of the clinical manufacturing team. You will play a crucial role in building critical manufacturing processes for the production of antibody-based medicines and training an exceptional team of Manufacturing Bioprocess Technicians. **How you might spend your days** - Working cross functionally with multiple teams including MSAT, Process Development, QA/QC, and Engineering to support the build required elements of an advanced bioprocessing facility to deliver the next generation of therapeutic antibodies - Leading and mentoring team members for manufacturing operations - Designing and operating manufacturing systems and processes that are effective, efficient, and technically sound, and that comply with cGMP requirements - Ensuring the facility, equipment, materials, and documents are established and maintained to support the capacity/throughput for the manufacturing process - Supporting manufacturing processes such as, but not limited to, cell line initiation (vial thaw), cell line scale-up, bioreactor operations, harvest clarification, TFF, column packing, chromatography, bulk drug substance fill, media and buffer preparation, weigh and dispense operations and drug product filling - Helping lead equipment FAT, SAT, and facility start-up as needed - Helping author and revise cGMP documentation (batch records, protocols, SOPs) and performing periodic review of cGMP documentation to ensure accuracy as well as supporting investigations related to the manufacturing process. - Contributing and assisting with internal audits as well as facility audits from the FDA, Health Canada and other regulatory bodies **We'd love to hear from you if** - You have an AS/BSc/BA in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Engineering or a combination of college coursework and related work experience or a biotech certificate from approved program - You have at least 5 years of GMP manufacturing experience, preferably working with antibodies therapies, with at least 2 years in a leadership role - You have an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing bioprocessing techniques and experience in the creation and revision of SOPs and manufacturing batch records - You have experience ensuring the timely execution and review of procedures, batch documentation, logbooks, deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and completion of ERP orders - You are passionate about building and implementing a "Right First Time" culture to meet cGMP requirements for clinical material **What we offer** AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $86,900 - $108,600 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
