Medical Equipment Repair Technician

**Purpose**:
This position requires the individual to service and/or estimate all OEM medical equipment. Training will be provided by manufacturer. This position does require travel to different hospitals within Ontario. All expenses will be paid.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To estimate, replace parts and clean medical units, as well field service in hospital settings to manufacturer specifications and MTC's standards.
- Responsible for completing all related work order information with accuracy.
- Mandatory to follow all OEM training and work instructions, at all times. Failure to comply will lead to discipline
- High degree of precision required
- Must be comfortable learning new software programs
- Follows safe work practices
- Other duties as assigned
**Competencies**
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Detail oriented
- High degree of eye hand coordination and finger dexterity
- Ability to perform complex repairs and follow instructions
- Ability to work unsupervised at times
- Ability to problem solve and deal with issues in a timely manner
- Ability to research electronic literature to keep electronic knowledge up to date
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic device or devices for which documentation is incomplete or not available
- Ability to work in a deadline driven atmosphere and handle multiple projects / tasks with attention to detail
**Requirements**:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand or sit for 8-hour shifts
- OEM provided training
- Criminal background check
**Qualifications**
- Biomedical Engineering diploma or Engineering degree preferred
- 3-year + experience testing and troubleshooting medical equipment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
