**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**

**AZ Driver Duties**:

- Drive a container chassis truck or other vehicles within the port area, adhering to local, provincial, and federal laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip health and safety inspections, preparing reports to ensure fleet standards are maintained.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring all safety precautions are taken before leaving the loading dock.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, mileage, and fuel consumption; complete ELD logs daily and promptly.
- Secure cargo and handle hazardous materials safely, as needed.
- Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using onboard radios or computers.
- Follow dispatcher’s scheduled appointments with a focus on “On-Time Pickup/Delivery.”
- Report any issues related to vehicle inspections, accident or incident reports, and maintenance.

**Warehouse Operations Duties**
- Move merchandise using forklifts, Reach trucks, or Turrets.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing trucks, maintaining organized operations.
- Perform shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility throughout your shift.
- Report any issues to your direct supervisor to ensure a safe working environment.

**Skills**
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Outstanding driving record without accidents or major traffic violations.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and troubleshoot equipment.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs routinely.

**Qualifications**
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of related driving experience, including flatbed, dry van, roll-tite, and other trailer types.
- 3+ years of forklift experience.
- Experience operating in Montreal ports

**Training/ Certifications**:

- Valid AZ commercial driver's license/
- Clean commercial driver's abstract and criminal record search.
- Forklift operator certification
