**Position Overview**

We are seeking an **Employment Specialist** to join our team. In this role, you will support job seekers in identifying, attaining, and retaining meaningful employment. You will leverage your strong networking skills, employer connections, and hands-on support to ensure successful, long-term placements for individuals with disabilities. This position offers a unique balance of independent, self-directed work and the benefits of being part of a well-established organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Facilitate Employment Opportunities**

Support participants with disabilities in preparing for and securing meaningful, long-term paid work.
- **Employer Engagement**

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing employer partners and establish new connections through cold-calling, networking, and targeted job development strategies.
- **Job Seeker Matching**

Match participants to suitable positions by aligning employers’ needs with individuals’ strengths, skills, and personal goals.
- **Workplace Integration**

Provide orientation, training, and on-site support to newly hired participants, ensuring they meet performance standards.
- **Ongoing Support & Retention**

Offer mentorship and coaching to help participants adapt, grow, and retain their positions. Deliver disability awareness training to employers as needed.
- **Documentation & Targets**

Maintain accurate records, meet job placement and retention targets, and ensure compliance with all relevant protocols.
- **Collaboration**

Work closely with other Corbrook staff to coordinate service delivery and ensure a holistic approach to participant success.
- **Adherence to Health & Safety**

Follow all organizational health, safety, and risk management policies.
- **Additional Duties**

Perform other related tasks as required.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Relevant Experience**

A minimum of three years working with individuals who have developmental, physical, and/or mental health disabilities or dual diagnoses.
- **Flexible & Self-Directed**

Ability to adapt to changing schedules, occasionally work evenings/weekends, and demonstrate a proactive, self-driven approach to achieving results.
- **Valid Driver’s License**

Access to a reliable vehicle is required.
- **Technical Proficiency**

Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet browsers.
- **Time Management & Problem-Solving**

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, think critically, and resolve issues effectively.
- **Team Player**

Strong collaborative skills paired with the ability to work independently.
- **Excellent Communication**

Superb verbal and written communication abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Scarborough, ON M1G 3V5
