**About the Role**:

We are seeking a **Category Specialist - Civil Engineering & Construction Services** to support the development of a robust fact base for the construction services category. Our team is part of the global procurement organization, based in our Montreal office.
The Category Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Category Manager by developing a comprehensive fact base for construction services.

This includes analysing market dynamics, supplier capabilities, and cost structures to develop category strategies. Key responsibilities include data analysis, operational needs analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and suppliers’ assessments
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a professional to contribute to the development of strategic procurement decisions that deliver value and risk mitigation for the business.

**You will**:
Ø Develop and implement a fact base for construction services to inform category strategies and sourcing practices.

Ø Conduct thorough market analysis and **data consolidation**, including upcoming **needs, consumption trends, and supplier capabilities**.

Ø Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and support the development of supply agreements that drive competitive advantage.

Ø Conduct interviews with key stakeholders and perform detailed market and internal data analysis.

Ø Drive value through rigorous analysis of **cost structures, market trends**, and **supply chain dynamics.**

Ø Ensure **compliance with procurement policies, standards, and systems**, including the use of Ariba and other procurement tools.

**What you’ll bring**:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in **business, Supply Chain, Engineering,** or related discipline.

Ø Minimum of 5 years of procurement, category management, or supply chain experience, preferably in construction services.

Ø Strong analytical and data management skills, with expertise in Excel for modelling and scenario analysis.

Ø Solid commercial acumen with proven results in category and contract management.

Ø Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Ø Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.

Ø Fluent in **French and English**, both written and spoken. It is a global company, and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or

Ø partners based outside Quebec.

Ø Familiarity with reading technical drawings is an asset.

Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
