**Security Screening**:Enhanced Security Clearance (Requires last 3 years continuous residency in either Canada or USA)

Scope:
**DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES**

Planning, Implementing, and daily operations of the F5 Web Access Firewall (WAF).
- achieve a high availability IT network infrastructure and IT network services, in accordance with the government of Alberta, Technology Services, Service Level Agreements.
- hands-on implementation, upgrading, trouble-shooting of network software and hardware infrastructure.
- manage and prioritize workload. Check and balance the workload against the team requirements, to result in a service delivery model characterized by cross-training, workload sharing and collaborative team effort.
- effective teamwork and proficient communication with team members and supported ministries.
- lead and/or participate in networking projects, and plan, design, implement, support and document best practices.
- participate and contribute to cross-function IT projects by providing technical IT networking know-how and expertise.
- perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution.
- plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations.
- develop and maintain documentation.
- develop network related procedures.
- provide cross training and knowledge transfer to team members.

**MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study. (Yes or No)
- Active F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator(F5-CA)/ F5 Certified Technical Specialist(F5-CTS) (copy of certification must be included in submission).(Yes or No)
- Direct involvement in developing best-practices documentation (for example, operational procedures, network diagrams, etc.). (8 years+)
- Experience in migrating, upgrading and optimizing F5 BIG-IP systems. (8 years+)
- Experience with Cisco layer 1-3 technologies, including the planning, design, and implementation, of an intermediate to large scale network infrastructure. (8 years+)
- Good understanding of network concepts, routing and switching and firewall security policy management. (8 years+)
- Should have extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience of F5 Big-IP LTM, BIG IP DNS, iRule development. (8 years+)
- Should have good knowledge of TCP/IP, IP routing, LAN and WAN protocols, HTTP/S understanding as it pertains to packet inspection and TCP flow in the Network and Application flows. (8 years+)
- Should have good L2-L3 troubleshooting skills including ability to analyze TCP dumps and should have good understanding of basic networking concepts. (8 years+)

**DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience preparing and presenting comprehensive information to technical teams, management and proponents. Including but not limited to contributing to assessment notes, geospatial maps, Logical Network Design diagrams, presentations, etc. Ability to assess the impact of technology changes and communicate this to multiple teams/departments, senior SA management, and other impacted stakeholders. (5 years+)
- Experience providing customer service technical troubleshooting and problem resolution. (5 years+)
- Experience using advanced oral and verbal communication skills with staff at all levels of an organization to address the value of service design. (5 years+)
- Experience with Alberta SuperNet or similar network. (5 years+)
- Experience with IPV6, including the planning, design, and implementation, in an intermediate to large scale networks infrastructure. (5 years+)
- Experience with networking aspects of Microsoft Windows desktop, servers, and nix-based
