Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead caregiver in supervising and engaging with children during activities, playtime, and meals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following daycare policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all children are accounted for and safe at all times.
- Administer basic first aid and respond to emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers effectively and provide regular updates on the child's progress and needs.
- Help with the preparation of meals and snacks for the children.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and tidy daycare environment, including cleaning up toys, changing tables, and common areas.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with children in a daycare or similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry children and stand for long periods.

Working Conditions: This is a part-time or full-time position with flexible hours, including early morning, evening, and weekend shifts. The work environment is a daycare center, which may be noisy and busy at times. The Daycare Helper may be required to stand or walk for long periods, lift and carry children, and bend or kneel to attend to their needs.

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Regina, SK S4S 4P7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
