**Overview**:
Join our team as a Temporary Full-Time Security Guard supporting Patient Watch operations at the University Health Network - West Park Healthcare.
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors by monitoring patient activity, responding to incidents, and ensuring a calm and controlled atmosphere within the facility.
This is a meaningful opportunity for professionals with strong observation skills and a passion for public safety, particularly within healthcare settings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor patients under observation to ensure safety and compliance with hospital policies.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to prevent incidents or unauthorized activities.
- Provide clear and professional communication to hospital staff, visitors, and patients.
- Respond promptly to calls, alarms, and emergency situations as directed.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on daily activities and incidents.
- Maintain a strong presence to deter potential safety risks and foster a secure environment.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of two-dose COVID-19 vaccination
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a two-step TB skin test
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

**Nice to Have**:

- Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital security setting
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
