Broad Description of Activities and Duties Associated With the Job:

- Maintain cleanliness of floor surfaces with **broom, mop, floor scrubbers, etc.**:

- Support plant hygiene by monitoring washrooms, locker rooms, break areas for cleanliness and restocking supplies
- Transfer of recyclables, wood, oil absorbents, general waste, etc. to proper bins, including scrap metal manually or by forklift
- **Monitor oil pan levels** of Nutformers and Distortion machines
- Support preventative maintenance of Nutformer machines by detailed cleaning, etc.
- Distribute supplies through facility (wipes, printer paper, move furniture, etc.)
- Monitor supply inventory, waste levels in bins, tanks, etc. and advise supervisor when necessary
- Maintain facility tidiness by relocating skids, supplies, etc. and painting, patching, and other upkeep
- **Perform preventative maintenance** on floor scrubbing equipment
- Assist Maintenance in material and equipment transfers and minor repairs (eg plumbing, small installations, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

General Qualifications/

**Required Skills**:

- Ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot and clean out floor scrubbers
- Ability to remove waste fluid from nutforming machines and transfer to holding tank
- Reasonable oral and written communication
- Familiar with safety devices on all machines worked with
- Operate and perform required checks of material handling equipment such as lift trucks
- Ability to operate a scissor lift/aerial platform
- Ability to operate the Genie Boom/cherry picker

Specific Formal Training, Certificates, Designations, Requirements or Licenses Required for the Position:

- secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent
- forklift operator certification

Specific Safety Related Requirements for the Position:

- WHMIS Certified
- Forklift Certified
- Adherence to plant health & safety rules
- Ensuring waste is disposed properly

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
