We are looking for a strong experienced courier driver who **currently owns either a Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit or Dodge ProMaster**. Working Monday to Friday doing deliveries throughout Winnipeg, Selkirk and surrounding areas.

We deliver anything from construction supplies to tires to envelopes to medicine and everything else in between. You will receive orders from dispatch to pick up and load orders in your vehicle and follow a pre-planned delivery route. Support is provided on shift by our dispatch team. We can have you driving with us as soon as a week

**This is an Independent Contractor position that requires the use of your own vehicle and your own smartphone with at least a 5G data plan. Compensation is paid semi-monthly.**

For this role, we are looking for reliable and consistent availability on:
Monday to Friday between 7:00am to 5:00pm

Delivering for Selkirk Courier is an excellent opportunity to earn great cash flow. It’s a great way to get to know your way around Winnipeg and it's neighboring areas Although we look for strong experience in the courier industry, we do encourage applicants that have worked with other on-demand delivery companies and/or warehouse operations.

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- **Must have either a Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, or Dodge ProMaster**:

- A smartphone with a data plan
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to provide a criminal record check
- Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate is an asset
- Must reside locally in Winnipeg or other areas like Selkirk, St. Andrew's, Lockport and must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- A positive, can-do, and friendly attitude

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Must be able to work under limited supervision
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Must be able to drive on the road for 4-6 hours
- Ability to work independently

Job Duties:

- Organize and load orders in own vehicle
- Pick up and deliver orders in a timely fashion
- Return all completed paperwork to dispatch team
- Pay is commission based (per-delivery)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
