MasTec Canada is currently accepting resumes for a Truck Driver/Roughneck with previous industry experience, _**to work on a project near Grande Prairie, Alberta**_.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Drive water truck to transport water for HDD drilling activities
- Drive a truck equipped with a trailer, as needed
- Perform roughneck labourer duties around rig site
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Conduct vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Communicate equipment and material issues between the office/shop/jobsite
- Conduct daily truck inspection
- Maintain a safe driving record
- Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed
- Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Previous experience with transporting construction equipment and materials is an asset
- Construction Safety Certifications including: H2S Alive, WHIMIS and First Aid are an asset
- Previous pipeline experience hauling pipe and heavy equipment is an asset

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:

- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
- Minimum Class 3 license with Air Brake Endorsement. Valid Class 1 driver’s license is preferred
- Current clean drivers abstract is required
- Self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, with ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Respectful, team player with positive attitude
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules
