**Sustainability Consultant**:
**THE ROLE**:
As a Sustainability Consultant at Works Design, you collaborate with colleagues and clients alike on smart, timely and industry-leading sustainability engagement and communications. You bring to the position a commitment to client service and collaboration, to high-quality, original research, to candid, well-informed counsel, and to concise, well-written content.

**THE DAY-TO-DAY**:

- Advising clients on a range of projects - from engagement and materiality assessments to standards alignment, performance measurement and reporting
- Identifying and communicating key messages while collaborating (e.g., with report writers) on content to meet client engagement, communication and reporting objectives
- Watching for developments in sustainability and communications, including our annual trends research, and letting clients know about the latest practices and regulatory developments
- Researching and critically analyzing sustainability-related topics (e.g., sector-specific research, stakeholder engagement, topic-specific coverage, materiality, standards and indicators)

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:

- Preferably a Master’s degree (e.g., MSc, MA, MBA) with a specialization in sustainability, environment, ESG or a related field
- At least two years of experience in ESG/sustainability strategy or communications consulting and/or as an in-house sustainability practitioner
- Certification or formal participation in ESG/sustainability reporting, communications, strategy or stakeholder engagement, or in topic-specific areas including climate change, DEI, supply chain, governance, social impact and/or nature/biodiversity

**WHAT ELSE YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**:

- Excellent research, writing and communication skills (e.g., reports, interviews, presentations)
- Genuine curiosity, ability to spot new trends and strengthen sustainability policies & practices
- Practical understanding of sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD/TNFD, SASB/IFRS, SDGs)
- A knack for coordinating consulting projects with colleagues and clients in a studio environment
- An eye for detail, an appreciation of process and a knack for thinking outside of the box
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding organization skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

**ARE THERE ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS?**:
While our current working environment is considered “flexible,” this role may require limited days in the studio and/or client travel.

**TOTAL COMPENSATION**:

- Base salary: $65,000 - $70,000

**Business Development and Marketing Manager**:
**THE ROLE**:
**THE DAY-TO-DAY**:

- Establishing and implementing a marketing strategy that promotes awareness of our core service offerings and grows our sales funnel
- Tracking monthly sales and ensuring that quarterly targets are achieved, including updating and pivoting marketing techniques (as needed)
- Proactively searching, evaluating, developing and managing all RFP, RFQ and RFI inquiries
- Maintaining our CRM system to ensure leads are properly documented and kept up-to-date
- Monitoring the competitive landscape and ensuring the continued relevance of Work Design
- Creating and maintaining sales and marketing collateral to ensure that services and examples are up-to-date and relevant
- Identifying and attending key networking events, conferences or partnership opportunities to promote awareness
- Creating a smooth onboarding process for new clients and project teams, as well as following up with all new clients at the end of their first project to ensure satisfaction and improvement (if needed)

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications or a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience managing business development and marketing in professional services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General understanding of corporate disclosure requirements, brand identity development and the digital ecosystem as they pertain to corporate communications
- Experience working within a creative environment (bonus)
