Manager - Dartmouth Crossing

**The Retail Store manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the retail location(s) are running smoothly and efficiently. Stores must function, look and feel like our brand, while also reflecting our purpose, culture and values.**

**Stores much achieve sales targets and constantly strive to increase growth in the community, social presence and experience both in store and online.**

**Retail Store managers must be results driven and progress focused for the overall store management. Our managers must be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively.**

**Specific duties and responsibilities include**:

- **Develop store strategies to raise customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability**
- **Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to store staff**
- **Ensuring high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service**
- **Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures**
- **Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards**
- **Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.**
- **Propose innovative ideas to increase market share**
- **Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths, including enforcing behaviour agreements**
- **Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)**
- **Be a shining example of good behavior and high performance**
- **Maintaining operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing all program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.**
- **Efficiently manage Inventory Control through policies such as: Short/Over Inventory sheets, Defectives/Mismates, Store Supplies, Receiving/Transferring, Re-stocking, Physical Inventory Count, Special order - on approval, Inventory Spot Checks**
- **Increase Community Involvement through coordinating: Tuesday talks, Community shop nights, in store promotions, product launches, special event Saturdays, etc.**
- **Schedule Product Knowledge Sessions: one per brand per season**
- **Follow Health & Safety and Worker’s Compensation Standards at all times and educate staff as needed. Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.**
- **Work to reduce shrinkage. Help with new shoplifting & robbery procedures. Respond to alarm as needed, training staff on potential shoplifting from both outside and inside sources.**
- **Maintain store return & exchange policies**
- **Ensure social media is organized and scheduled per marketing plan, including videos. This also includes Facebook/Messenger posts that get responded to in a timely manner.**
- **As a manager, you are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week or until the job is complete. The expectation is to work one evening on Thursday or Friday night and some Saturday’s.(2 out of 4/month) as Saturday is our busiest day.**
- **Other duties as required to ensure continued success and to assist Director Retail Operations & President as required**

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 2 years (preferred)
